ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 23

SUSPENDING ALL CLASSES ON JUNE 19, 1944

In order to properly observe Rizal’s birthday this year which has also been declared as “Kapariz Day” by Proclamation No. 18, dated June 7, 1944, and which marks the date of the launching of the national youth brotherhood “Kabataang Pangarap ni Rizal,” I, Jose P. Laurel, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order the suspension of the holding of classes in all schools, public and private, on Monday, June 19, 1944.

Done in the City of Manila, this 17th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-four, and of the Republic of the Philippines, the first.
