EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 69

EXTENDING THE BENEFITS OF SECTION 5 OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 134, AS AMENDED BY EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 203, TO AGENTS OF THE PHILIPPINE CONSTABULARY AND THE BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

Pursuant to the powers vested in my by Act No. 39, otherwise known as the Emergency Powers Law, I, JOSE P. LAUREL, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby order;

SECTION 1. The benefits granted by Section 5 of Executive Order No. 134, as amended by Executive Order No. 203, dated March 10, 1943, and September 9, 1943, respectively, to members of the Philippine Constabulary, city or municipal police, or trainees in the Constabulary Academy who are already regular members thereof, are hereby extended the agents of the Philippine Constabulary and the Bureau of Investigation who are killed in action or who die of injury sustained or of illness contracted in line of duty.

The term “agent” shall be understood to mean a civilian employee of the Philippine Constabulary or of the Bureau of Investigation engaged in detective or intelligence service.

SEC. 2. All laws, orders, ordinance or regulations, or parts thereof inconsistent with this Order are hereby revoked or modified accordingly.

SEC. 3. This Order shall be effective as of March 1, 1944.

Done in the City of Manila, this 8th day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-four, and of the Republic of the Philippines, the first.
