EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 76

WAGES OF LABORERS EMPLOYED IN INDISPENSABLE PROJECTS
AND SHOPS

In order to enable the Government of the Republic of the Philippines to prosecute its indispensable activities, I, JOSE P. LAUREL, President of the Republic of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority conferred upon be by existing laws, do hereby promulgate this Order:

1. When required by the exigencies of the service, the Minister of State concerned is hereby authorized to fix the wages of laborers employed in special projects and shops at rates of wages, including bonuses, not to exceed the following:

Unskilled laborers ₱5.00
Semi-skilled laborers 7.00
Skilled laborers 10.00

PROVIDED, That the wages so fixed shall be for a period of ninety (90) days only unless existing conditions demand extension thereof in which case such tine may be extended by the corresponding Minister for a like period; and PROVIDED, FURTHER, That the expenditures involved in the prosecution of said projects or in the maintenance of said shops shall not exceed the amounts appropriated therefor by the corresponding laws

Done in the City of Manila, this 28th day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-four, and of the Republic of the Philippines, the first.
