EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 83

PROMOTING AND RETIRING WITH GRATUITY CAPTAIN PIOQUINTO BERGADO
OF THE PHILIPPINE CONSTABULARY

By virtue of the authority conferred upon me by the Constitution and by Act No. 58, entitled “An Act Providing for the Retirement with Gratuity of Members of the Fire and former Police Departments, including Provincial Guards, of various Provinces, Chartered Cities and Municipalities,” and upon the recommendation of the Chief of Constabulary and the Mayor of the City of Manila, I, JOSE P. LAUREL, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby order the retirement with gratuity as Major of Captain Pioquinto Bergado, effective as of July 21, 1944, for physical infirmity.

The Mayor of the City of Manila is hereby directed immediately to take such steps as may be necessary to implement and carry into effect the purpose of this Order.

Done in the City of Manila, this 1st day of September, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-four, and of the Republic of the Philippines, the first.
