EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 89

CHANGING THE DESIGNATIONS OF CHIEF, FIRST ASSISTANT CHIEF AND SECOND ASSISTANT CHIEF OF CONSTABULARY AND PROVIDING A NEW SCALE OF SALARIES THEREFOR.

Pursuant to the provisions of Act No. 10 in relation with Executive Order No. 24 dated December 31, 1943 and Executive Order No. 30 dated January 15, 1944, I, JOSE P. LAUREL, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby order –

1. The designations of Chief, First Assistant Chief and Second Assistant Chief of Constabulary are hereby changed to Commanding General of the Philippine Constabulary, Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff, respectively.

2. The Commanding General of the Philippine Constabulary, the Chief of Staff and the Deputy Chief of Staff shall receive the following rates of salaries as base pay, effective September 1, 1944:

Commanding General of the Philippine Constabulary ₱7,200.00
Chief of Staff 5,400.00
Deputy Chief of Staff 4,800.00

3. The amount needed to provide for the salary increases herein authorized shall be taken from the savings in the appropriations for salaries and wages of the Philippine Constabulary.

Done in the City of Manila, this 27th day of September, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-four, and of the Republic of the Philippines, the first.
