EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 46

LIMITING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE PHILIPPINE COUNCIL OF STATE TO NOT MORE THAN TWENTY-FOUR.

Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me as Head of the Central Administrative Organization by Order No. 1 of the Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Japanese Forces in the Philippines, Article II of the Articles of Organization of the Philippine Council of State as contained in Executive Order No. 2 of the Chairman of the Executive Commission is hereby amended so as to read as follows:

“ARTICLE II

“The Members of the Philippine Council of State are the Chairman and the Members of the Philippine Executive Commission, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and such additional members not exceeding twenty-four in all, as the Chairman of the Council may, with the approval of the Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Japanese Forces in the Philippines, appoint or designate from time to time.”
