I wish to inform you that, as per copy attached hereto, a notification has been sent to the Commissioner of Public Works and Communications concerning the payment of bus fares connecting Manila with various provinces.

PAYMENT OF BUS FARES CONNECTING MANILA
WITH VARIOUS PROVINCES

SIR:
In connection with the operation of buses between Manila and Baguio, and of three other lines to be commenced on March 30th, 1942, you are hereby instructed to enter into contracts with the transportation companies concerned mentioned below and to pay charges on the basis of the following rates:
1. Manila-Baguio.
Halili Transportation Co.
Charge: Approximately ₱98.20 per round trip.
2. Manila-Tarlac.
Angat Transportation Co.
Charge: Approximately ₱60.48 per round trip.
3. Manila-Lucena.
Pasay Transportation Co.
Charge: Approximately ₱49.92 per round trip.
4. Manila-Batangas.
Mateo Transportation Co.
Charge: Approximately ₱41.50 per round trip.
The busses for each line will be operated once every week. For every kilometer, ₱0.20 will be charged for a bus operating between Manila and Baguio; ₱0.16 for other lines.
