ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 3

EMPOWERING THE COMMISSIONERS CONCERNED TO ASSUME THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE BOARD ON DOCUMENTS WITHIN THEIR RESPECTIVE DEPARTMENTS.

The Board on Documents having been abolished, the powers and duties thereof shall henceforth be assumed and exercised by the Commissioners concerned with respect to the documents, public records and papers belonging to the different bureaus and offices under their respective Departments.

Before determining whether certain documents, public records and papers should be destroyed pursuant hereto, the Commissioner concerned may, if in his judgment there is need for the same, obtain the opinion of the Director of National Library as to whether such documents, public records and papers have such artistic, historical, or commemorative value as may warrant their preservation.

Done in the City of Manila, Philippines, this 29th day of September, 1942.
