EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 22

SUPERVISION OF SLAUGHTER OF ANIMALS IN THE CITY OF GREATER MANILA AND PRESCRIBING UNIFORM SLAUGHTERHOUSE FEES THEREFOR.

Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me as Head of the Central Administrative Organization by Order No. 1 of the Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Japanese Forces in the Philippines, it is hereby ordered that all animals sacrificed or slaughtered within the territorial jurisdiction of the City of Greater Manila for the consumption of the inhabitants thereof shall be inspected under the supervision of the Health Officer of the City of Manila by veterinarians employed by the City of Greater Manila for the purpose, who, in the opinion of the Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce, are competent to handle the work. The inspection fee for such animals is hereby fixed at the uniform rate of three and one-half (₱0.03 ½ ) centavos per kilo.
